Hartek Foundation Honours Women's Day by Empowering Women of Bakarpur Village with Healthcare and Financial Education
Bakarpur Pind, Mohali district - March 10, 2023 - In celebration of International Women's Day, the Hartek Foundation hosted a special event for the women of Bakarpur village, a village adopted by the foundation. The event was aimed at empowering women by providing them with access to healthcare and financial knowledge, while also commemorating the achievements and contributions of women around the world.
The event was graced by Dr. Sarbjeet Paik, MBBS, who conducted one-on-one counseling sessions on women's health and hygiene. She provided the women with valuable advice on how to take care of themselves and their families and offered guidance on how to access healthcare services in the region.
In addition, Mr. MK Bhardwaj, LDM, Punjab National Bank, conducted an educational session on the latest banking and government schemes that support women and girl children. He highlighted the various financial products and services available to women and explained how they can benefit from them.
As a token of appreciation for their participation, all women were provided with calcium tablets and medicinal plants. These were intended to encourage them to take care of their health and well-being, and to remind them of the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
