Overview
The Civil Design Engineer (EPC) is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the execution of civil engineering projects, particularly in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector. This includes developing structural designs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met. (220KV -765KV Substation switchyard experience will be preferred.)
Roles & Responsibilities
Design & Analysis: Develop civil and structural designs for EPC projects (industrial plants, solar projects, infrastructure) using software like AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Revit, and ETABS. Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IS codes, AISC, Eurocodes).
Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cohesive design implementation. Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and review vendor drawings.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct site inspections, ensure adherence to designs, and maintain safety standards. Prepare engineering reports, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Technical Expertise: Use structural analysis tools to create accurate designs. Experience with AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Revit is essential. Familiarity with standards like IS Codes, ASTM, and Eurocodes is required.
