About the Role
- Experienced Civil Design Engineer specializing in structural design for substation projects. Skilled in designing foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, equipment supports, and other civil structures to meet electrical and safety standards. Proficient in using AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and relevant design software to prepare detailed drawings and reinforcement schedules. Ensures compliance with IS codes and utility guidelines while coordinating closely with electrical and site teams for seamless project executio
Key Responsibilites
- Prepare detailed civil and structural designs for substations including foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, transformer bays, and equipment supports.
- Develop GA drawings, RCC detailing, reinforcement schedules, and BOQs using AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or other design tools.
- Ensure designs comply with IS codes, IEC standards, utility guidelines, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with electrical and structural teams to ensure design compatibility and site feasibility.
- Perform site layout planning, grading plans, and stormwater drainage designs.
- Support construction teams by providing technical clarifications and resolving design-related issues during execution.
- Prepare “as-built” drawings and assist in design documentation for client submission and approvals.
