28 September 2026 | New Delhi, India: The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), the apex association representing India’s electrical equipment manufacturing industry, has appointed Mr. Hartek Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Hartek Group, as President-Elect for 2026–27.
The appointment marks a significant milestone in Mr. Singh’s longstanding association with IEEMA and comes at a time when India’s electrical and electronics industry is playing an increasingly important role in the country’s ambitions for manufacturing-led growth, energy transition and global competitiveness.
As President-Elect, Mr. Singh will work closely with the association’s leadership on its policy and strategic agenda. Mr. Singh has been closely associated with IEEMA’s leadership and industry initiatives, having previously served on its National Executive Committee and as Vice Chairman of the Northern Region before taking on the role of Vice President in 2026.
He is also serving as Chairman of ELECRAMA 2027, IEEMA’s flagship global exhibition for the electrical and allied electronics industry.
During his tenure as President-Elect, Mr. Singh will work alongside the President and the Executive Council in advancing IEEMA’s policy advocacy and strategic agenda, representing the collective interests of India’s electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment manufacturers.
His focus will be on strengthening industry-government collaboration, advancing domestic manufacturing and export competitiveness, and enabling the sector to navigate emerging opportunities across renewable energy, grid modernisation, e-mobility, green hydrogen, energy storage and digitalisation.
He will also support IEEMA’s engagement with policymakers, utilities and global stakeholders to strengthen India’s position as a competitive manufacturing and technology hub.

Mr. Singh brings extensive experience in the power, renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. Under his leadership, Hartek Group has developed capabilities across power systems, renewable energy and power distribution products, contributing to grid infrastructure and large-scale renewable energy integration across India.
His appointment also comes ahead of ELECRAMA 2027, which Mr. Singh will lead as Chairman. The upcoming edition will provide an important platform for showcasing India’s electrical and allied electronics capabilities, facilitating global partnerships and highlighting emerging technologies shaping the future of the sector.
