Overview
As a Civil Site In Charge for EPC projects in the power and renewable energy sector, is responsible for overseeing and managing all civil construction activities on-site. This includes ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Role & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project execution plans in coordination with project managers and engineering teams. Oversee the implementation of civil construction activities according to project schedules and budgets. Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Monitor progress and address any issues or delays promptly to keep the project on track.
Contractor Management: Select, evaluate, and manage subcontractors and vendors for civil construction works. Provide guidance and direction to contractors to ensure work is performed efficiently and meets quality requirements. Review and approve contractor work plans, method statements, and construction drawings.
Quality Assurance and Control: Implement quality assurance and control procedures to ensure that civil works meet design and regulatory standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and resolve any construction defects or non-conformities. Document and report quality issues, deviations, and corrective actions.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and regulations on-site. Conduct safety briefings, inspections, and audits to mitigate risks and prevent accidents. Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among project team members and contractors.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all civil construction activities, including progress reports, daily logs, and as-built drawings. Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate and communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations. Participate in project meetings, discussions, and reviews to provide updates on civil construction activities and resolve any issues or conflicts.
