The Electrical Engineer will be based at Site and will handle overall Execution of Project, from initiation, Commissioning to Handover.

Roles & Responsibilites

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop electrical plans and specifications for construction projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of electrical materials and equipment.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on electrical progress and address any issues or concerns.
  • Develop detailed electrical designs, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, and grounding systems, in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct load calculations and voltage drop analyses to ensure proper sizing of electrical equipment and conductors.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings and schematics prepared by design consultants and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment at construction sites.
  • Ensure that electrical work is carried out in compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and coordinate with the project team to implement effective solutions
  • Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of electrical installations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and report any non-conformities or deviations from the approved electrical plans.
  • Promote a culture of safety among site personnel by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential hazards and risks associated with electrical work and implement mitigation measures.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents related to electrical installations.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to address technical queries and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with project objectives and schedules.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong Understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, electrical distribution, transformers, generators, and switchgear.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, codes, standards, and regulations related to electrical installations and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues that may arise during construction, commissioning, or operation phases.
