Chandigarh | July 2026: HARTEK’s Renewables Business Unit has secured a major 400 MW utility-scale solar Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project in Rajasthan, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expanding renewable energy portfolio as India accelerates investments in large-scale clean energy infrastructure.
The project, to be executed across two phases in Rajasthan, comprises the development of two solar power plants of 200 MW each, taking the total installed capacity to 299.2MWac/400MWdc.
Commenting on the same, Simarpreet Singh, Executive Director & CEO, Hartek Power, said:
“We are grateful to our customer for placing their trust in Hartek to deliver this landmark project. This order reflects the confidence our customers have in our engineering excellence, strong execution capabilities, and proven track record of delivering complex power and renewable infrastructure projects. As India accelerates its clean energy transition, the focus must be on building both renewable capacity and the grid infrastructure needed to integrate it efficiently. With our integrated EPC expertise across renewable generation and high-voltage transmission, Hartek power is well positioned to deliver reliable, future-ready energy infrastructure that supports India’s long-term clean energy ambitions.”
Beyond constructing the solar generation assets, Hartek Power will also build the project’s 220 kV Solar Pooling Substation, creating the critical transmission infrastructure required to evacuate renewable power into the grid. The integrated scope positions the company across both renewable generation and high-voltage grid infrastructure, an increasingly important capability as India’s utility-scale solar projects continue to grow in scale.
Under the contract, Hartek will undertake the complete EPC lifecycle, from detailed engineering and procurement to installation, construction, testing and commissioning of the solar photovoltaic plant and the associated pooling substation.
The scope also includes handling owner-supplied equipment, grid interconnection and final project commissioning.
The project comes at a time when India is witnessing unprecedented investments in renewable energy, transmission infrastructure and grid modernisation. As the country works towards its target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, integrated renewable projects that combine generation with robust evacuation infrastructure are becoming increasingly critical to ensuring reliable power delivery.
The latest order further strengthens Hartek Power’s position as one of India’s leading power and renewable EPC companies, with expertise spanning extra-high-voltage substations, power transmission infrastructure and utility-scale renewable energy projects. The company continues to expand its presence across the fast-growing renewable energy ecosystem, supporting the development of resilient, grid-connected clean energy infrastructure across the country.
