Harkirat Kaur

Harkirat Kaur leads Hartek Group’s Data Strategy and Hartek Foundation, leveraging her expertise in public policy and data analytics to drive the organization’s growth and impact. With a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy, she plays a vital role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and ensuring its sustainable development.

• – She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics from Panjab University, and a Master of Arts in Public Policy with a Certificate in Research Methods from the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy.
• – She Chairs the Climate change vertical, Yi Chandigarh chapter. 
• – She plays a pivotal role in shaping Hartek Group’s strategic direction and ensuring its sustainable development, spearheading village adoption, ancillary activities, and digitalization across departments for efficient reporting. 
• – She collaborated with the Department of Education, WCDW, and Panchayati Raj Department of the Government of Telangana on multiple policy areas such as education and health to enhance their outcome measurement through policy gap analysis while working with CEGIS, India. 
• – She has previously worked on policy analysis and provided support for the implementation of social and emotional learning at the state and district levels at CASEL in Chicago. 
• – She has completed a “Certificate in Research Methods,” completed 1st year PhD core level courses in Public Policy and 2 quarters of research apprenticeship with Professor Damon Jones from Harris School of Public Policy. 
• – Harkirat has technical skills in R, STATA, Survey CTO, Data wrapper, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
• – Harkirat has also contributed to various research projects as a Research Assistant and Project Associate, including working at the Insights and Parenting Lab at Harris School of Public Policy and at Oxfam Policy Lab, University of Chicago.
