July 2025 | HARTEK Secures ₹138 Crore contract from PGCIL under TBCB route

02 July 2025: HARTEK, a leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company in the power & renewable infrastructure sector, has been awarded a significant contract worth ₹138 crore. 

The award pertains to the development of the 400kV AIS Substation Package SS-66T, associated with the Transmission Scheme for integration of Davanagere/Chitradurga and Ballari Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Karnataka, through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID) awarded the contract, underlining Hartek’s leadership and execution capabilities in India’s critical transmission infrastructure projects.

The scope of work involves design, engineering, procurement construction , testing at the manufacturer’s works, supply (including transportation and insurance), unloading, storage, erection, testing, and commissioning—ensuring turnkey delivery of the 400kV AIS Substation.

Punjab Police and Hartek Foundation Sign MoU to Advance Gender-Responsive Road Safety SAAHAS Fellowship Launched as First Initiative under the Partnership

Mohali, 20 May 2025: In a landmark move toward inclusive and sustainable mobility, the Traffic and Road Safety Wing of Punjab Police signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hartek Foundation today, establishing a collaborative framework aimed at advancing road safety through a gender-responsive and data-driven approach. Additionally, this partnership shall support R&D on enhancing the visibility and safety of the traffic officials on the road through solar powered infrastructure like traffic aid posts, halting stations, solar helmets etc.

The MoU reflects a shared commitment to strengthening road safety systems by collecting and utilizing sex- and age-disaggregated data, addressing gender disparities in transport infrastructure, and creating safer, more accessible public spaces. It also envisions increasing the participation of women in both decision-making and operational roles in the transport and public safety sectors.

The first initiative under this MoU is the launch of the Punjab Police–Hartek Foundation Fellowship “SAAHAS” (Safe Access and Advancement for Her through Awareness and Sustainability). This pioneering fellowship—India’s first of its kind initiated by a Police Department—will be implemented through the Punjab Road Safety and Traffic Research Centre. It aims to support research, innovation, and on-ground interventions that promote gender-equitable mobility solutions in alignment with SDG 3, 9, and 11.

Jan 2025 | HARTEK bags largest Solar Plant in J&K

Delhi, January 2025: Hartek Group’s, C&I Rooftop solar business unit has won complete solar EPC contract of 8 MW from Kandhari Beverages Private Limited one of the largest bottling plant of Hindustan Coca Cola. This will become Jammu & Kashmir’s largest rooftop solar installation. The project is under execution and will be commissioned this quarter. The installation will improve the region’s renewable energy capability and drastically lower the facility’s energy expenses by producing a million units a year.

“This remarkable 8 MW system is setting the standard for sustainable industrial development of solar plant in J&K, not merely powering a building. Notably, this is the third project awarded to Hartek by Kandhari Beverages in the past two years, bringing their total installations for the beverage company to 14 MW.
